What is EduCare?
EduCare provides educational and supportive services to improve
the quality of end-of-life care offered to people in our five-county
service area of southeastern North Carolina.
What kinds of educational opportunities are available?
Educare offers end-of-life car presentations, inservices, seminars,
forums and conferences. Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter
often collaborates with other organizations to provide programs
to the community.
Does EduCare discuss a variety of end-of-life care issues?
Advance Directives (Living Will and Health Care Power of Attorney),
communicating health care choices, dealing with grief, palliative
care, caregiving, and hospice services are a few of the topics that
can be discussed.
Who can benefit from EduCare programs?
Civic, school, church, and community groups, businesses, individuals,
health care professionals–just about anyone–can learn
more about end-of-life care issues and concerns through EduCare
programs and presentations.
